Tuesday We got up and had breakfast at the hotel we were staying at in Victor, NY. The hotel was awesome because it had complimentary breakfast and dinner!! After breakfast, we drove to Niagara Falls about two hours away. Tuesday was the coldest day we had while we were on our trip. I am pretty sure it is the coldest weather I have ever been in in my life. It never got above 9 degrees and it went down to about 4 or 5 degrees while we were at Niagara Falls. It was so cold!!!
This was on the drive to Niagara Falls. There was snow everywhere!! It was so awesome
Welcome to Niagara Falls!
It was 7 degrees at this point. I am pretty sure that sign means we are standing in CANADA!!!!
My hands were so cold, so I got creative and got my phone to just stick there to talk :)
We are standing on the lookout bridge thing and the falls are behind us "bbbbrrrrrrrrrr!!"
The mist coming off the falls was turning straight into little ice pieces that would hit us in the wind. It is so pretty!
This was inside the visitors center. He said he was Smokey the Bear's brother!!
This was off of Goat Island looking down at an observing place that is closed for the season. I love everything being covered by the snow! It is awesome!
It is Canada!!!!!!! (we couldn't go because we didn't have passports :( Suggestion, if you are going to go, get a passport because it was obvious that the Canada side had a much better view.
After we got back from Niagara Falls, we ate dinner at the hotel and then went to the Palmyra NewYork Temple and did baptisms. It is such a pretty temple. All the windows are stained glass of the Sacred Grove and it is the only temple in the world that has a clear window. It looks out at the Sacred Grove. The people there were so nice!!
It was dark, but the lights on the temple were cool. We came back on Wednesday and took pictures during the day.
That sign in the background says "Palmyra New York Temple"
The Temple is on the original 100 acres that the Smith family purchased. The church now owns all 100 acres!!
Tuesday was a great day!! Everyday on this trip was really a great day. My mom said she wanted to save Palmyra for the last thing we did to make it memorable and it was. Wednesday was the day we did all the church history stuff there. I can't wait to share it with you!
I will be posting Wednesday soon, so watch for it! :)
